Gidday, we’re Drew & Dan. Two good mates with a lifelong love for fishing and 22+ years combined experience fixing all things marine, right here in New Plymouth. Our passion for this life and our community runs deep so we know how important it is to get the job done right.
MEET THE TEAM
DREW WHITEHEAD
I’ve always loved boats and fishing, so I went into the trade straight out of school. I’ve had 15 years of experience and trained on Honda, Yamaha, Mercury, and Simrad. I also have fish finder and sounder expertise.
Fast forward to now, I have a young family at home who work behind the scenes of the boat shop.
I’m passionate about everything boats, fishing, and getting you out on the water.
DAN O’LEARY
I’ve always had a passion for fishing. After farming in Opunake in my younger years and then 12 years of drilling in Western Australia and Brazil, I came home and completed an adult apprenticeship in marine mechanics.
I have a young international family and we all love being out on the water.
Between my passion for fishing and years of experience in the trade, we’ll take care of all your boating, trailer, engine, and electronic needs.
THE WORKSHOP
Come down and see us at 22 Sunley Street. There’s plenty of space for your boat and trailer and if you time it right there might be a cold beer and some good yarns.
